A real question bank
Single-best-answer and multiple-select MCQs written to Nigerian MBBS standards, each with a worked explanation. Questions carry labelled images where the anatomy demands one.
Built for Nigerian MBBS students
MedUp is an MBBS question bank and spaced-repetition flashcard app mapped to your university's curriculum — with per-topic mastery tracking that shows you exactly what you know and exactly what to revise next. It works with no data.

What you get
Not a PDF dump and not a random quiz generator. MedUp knows which units you registered for, which concepts you are weakest on, and what you should do today.
Single-best-answer and multiple-select MCQs written to Nigerian MBBS standards, each with a worked explanation. Questions carry labelled images where the anatomy demands one.
An SM-2 scheduler puts each card back in front of you just before you would have forgotten it — so the hours you spend cramming actually stay with you into finals.
Every lesson, unit and course carries a mastery level based on what you currently know — most recent answer correct, and recent enough to still count. No flattering lifetime averages.
Download a unit once and practise it anywhere — hostel, ward round, night call, long bus ride home. Your answers queue on the device and sync themselves when you reconnect.
Sit a paper under exam conditions. The countdown runs off the wall clock, so closing the app or taking a call does not buy you extra minutes — exactly like the real thing.
Tell MedUp what you want to master and by when. It works out how many questions a day that takes, tracks whether you are on course, and nudges you when you are not — light-touch, never a slot machine.
The mastery ladder
A raw score reads like a grade you already failed. A tier reads like a journey you are on. Every lesson, unit and course in MedUp sits on the same five-step ladder, and the segmented bar shows exactly where you are.
You have not answered a question here yet.
You have made a start. The topic is on the board.
You reliably handle the core recall questions.
You apply the concept, not just recall it — proved on a fresh draw.
You cleared the Mastery Challenge: three spaced tests at 90%.
No false comfort
Most apps count a question as "learnt" the first time you get it right, then never look back. Six weeks before finals that leaves you with a screen full of green and a head full of nothing.
How it works
Pick your university, your programme and your level, then tick the units you are actually taking this session. MedUp only ever shows you those — no wading through a fourth-year syllabus in your second year.
Open the app and there is one card waiting: the lesson to do now, sized to the time you have. Answer, read the explanation, move on. Flashcards due today are queued behind it.
Every answer rolls up through lesson, sub-unit, unit and course. Set a goal for a date, and MedUp turns it into a daily number and tells you honestly whether you are on track.
Offline-first, not offline-ish
MedUp is not a website in an app shell. Every screen reads from a database on your phone. The internet's only job is to top that database up and carry your progress to your other devices.
Coverage
Content is organised the way your school teaches it — course, unit, sub-unit, lesson — so a topic in MedUp lines up with a topic in your lecture handout.
Questions
Yes. MedUp is built specifically around the Nigerian MBBS curriculum. When you sign up you choose your university, your programme and your level, then register the units you are taking this session. Everything you browse and practise is scoped to those units, and unregistering a unit hides it without ever deleting the progress you made on it.
Yes — this is the point of the app. Questions, flashcards and your progress live in a database on your device, so you can practise on the ward, in a lecture hall, on a bus or during a blackout. Your answers queue up and sync automatically the next time you have a connection.
Questions and flashcards are drafted by our team with reference to internationally standard textbooks — Guyton, Robbins and the like — for concepts only. Nothing is copied or closely paraphrased from a source text.
Every item then has to pass review by an MBBS-qualified reviewer before it is published. Drafts are invisible to students.
Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology are live today. More basic and clinical science subjects are in the writing queue and are released continuously — a lesson appears in your unit the moment it is reviewed and published, with no app update needed.
Mastery is what you currently know, not what you once got right. A lesson's strength is how many of its questions your most recent answer got correct and recently enough to still count, out of how many exist. A tier clears when that coverage is high enough and you pass a session on a freshly drawn set of questions.
Because evidence expires, a level can fall on a quiet week. That is deliberate — mastery you do not maintain is not mastery, and a topic that slips is exactly the topic you should revise next.
It is the last step to Hyper-Stuffed: three tests, spaced across separate days, each needing 90% on questions you have not just seen. Passing all three locks in the top tier. Failing one takes Stuffed away until you re-earn it — which is what makes the top tier worth something.
You can create an account and start practising for free. Subscription details and current pricing are shown in the app, and any purchase is handled through the Google Play billing system on your device.
No. MedUp is a revision and self-assessment tool designed to sit alongside your lectures, textbooks and clinical teaching. The content is educational material only — it is not medical advice and must never be used to guide the care of a real patient.
MedUp is built for both Android and iOS. Android is available now on Google Play; if you are on iPhone, email support@medup.com.ng and we will let you know the moment the iOS build is live.
Install MedUp, register your units, and do fifteen minutes before you sleep tonight. That is the whole method.
